passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, surrounded by her family, at her parent's home in Polson. She was born June 29, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Dr. Earl and Grace Coriell. The family moved to Polson in August of 1953, where Janet lived, through her graduation from Polson High School.

Janet is survived by her husband of 25 years, Wayne N. Womack; father, Dr. Earl Coriell; stepmother, Betty Coriell; sisters, Rita and Jim Chase, and Karen and Chip Vergeront; and brothers, Dr. Randy and Theresa Coriell, Brian and Tammy Beck, and Steve Beck.

Janet and Wayne were married in northern California in 1983, where they created and operated a small business. Upon the sale of the business they returned to Montana, to live on Big Mountain and operate Kristianna Mountain Homes together.

Janet was an avid skier turned snowboarder whose first ski experiences on Big Mountain were in the late 1950s. Janet was passionate about skiing/snowboarding, hiking, kayaking and camping, because of the friends she shared the time with. Early every morning Janet could be seen leaving the house with one or more of her friends and their dogs, to go for a morning walk or snow shoe. Every evening found her with friends, wine and stories of the day's great adventures.

A celebration of life will be held on Big Mountain at the Kristianna Condominiums at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Polson. A reception will follow at the Polson Golf Course Restaurant.

Janet's uncle, Dr. Louis Coriell, was the founder of the Coriell Institute of Medical Research. As a memorial to Janet, contributions can be made to this great institute in its critical work, c/o Coriell Institute of Medical Research, 403 Hadden Avenue, Camden, New Jersey 08103.

She is missed already.
