Flathead second, Glacier third at speech meet

Flathead and Glacier high school teams finished behind defending state champion Bozeman High School at the Montana Tech Bulldog Speech and Debate Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Flathead placed second with 129 points and Glacier was third with 113.5 points. Bozeman had 168.5.

Sixteen teams, including all 14 Class AA schools, competed in the Butte tournament.

Glacier and Flathead varsity teams compete next Nov. 14 and 15 at the Electric City Invitational in Great Falls. Junior varsity squads will compete in Polson Nov. 8.
