Cheryl Grace Rounds, 65

Cheryl Grace Rounds passed away from lung cancer Oct. 22, 2008, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Wash. She was born Sept. 19, 1943, to Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Grace Stinger in Whitefish.

Cheryl attended school in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1961.

She married Jim Rounds on Nov. 30, 1962, in Whitefish. Cheryl and Jim moved to Bremerton in 1966, and resided in Bremerton at the time of her passing.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim; son, Jerry and Bobbi, and grandchildren, Tyler and Kari, of Kalispell. She is also survived by her sisters, Ella and Chet Hill of Kalispell, Joane "Jo" Brousseau of Kalispell, MaDonna and Dale Barber of Yellow Bay, Marcia and Jim Hunnewell of Whitefish, and Carla and Bob Corbally of Great Falls.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Stinger, in 1972; mother, Grace Stinger, in 1996; sisters, Doris LaVoy in 1999, and Carolyn McConville in 2005; daughter, Tina Rounds, in 1981; and many friends and family members.

Cheryl was an avid reader who loved to travel, sew and crochet. Jim and Cheryl enjoyed spending their winters in Parker, Ariz., for the previous 15 years.

Cheryl worked for the Bremerton School District cafeteria for three years and Neil Ness Chiropractic for five years.

Cheryl is dearly loved and missed by all who were blessed to know her. Cheryl's "Stingerisms" brought fun and laughter to many occasions. We will miss the sound of her unique laugh.
