Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Spotted Bear Road in Martin City after a man called saying he wanted to move out, but a woman wouldn't let him leave the residence.

A Larch Lane resident witnessed a fight between a goat and a pit bull. The pit bull was locked up at the county animal shelter and the goat went to the vet.

A dog was reported missing on Tamarack Lane. Despite any evidence, the owner thinks the neighbor shot it.

Deputies responded to a residence on Second Avenue South in Hungry Horse after the owner complained that a neighbor youth on a four-wheeler just tore up his driveway.

Deputies arrested an intoxicated 34-year-old man on suspicion of felony partner assault after he allegedly punched his wife at a residence on Browns Meadow Road in Kila. The woman did not need medical attention.

Authorities broke up a fight between inmates at the Flathead County Detention Center.

A Shadow Lane woman called to report that her husband was destroying her clothing and other property. Deputies calmed the arguing parties and escorted the man off the premises for the evening.

Deputies counseled neighbors on Nicholson Drive in Evergreen. At least three were involved in a dispute - no word about what - and one neighbor alleged harassment.

A man in an argument with his girlfriend left the Birch Drive residence, but only after allegedly kicking her car and busting out the taillights.

An 18-foot aluminum boat came adrift in the Flathead River near Evergreen, prompting a passer-by to call deputies.

A real-estate agent showing a Hungry Horse home told the owner that the house had been broken into and vandalized.

Someone busted into a Creston business. Doors had been kicked in, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Kalispell police

A passer-by told Kalispell police that youths in an alley off Second Avenue East were lighting small bits of garbage on fire. Turns out they were volunteers cleaning up trash.

A Second Street East resident complained about the obscene messages being left on her phone.

Officers responded to College Avenue and arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of partner assault after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.

Someone knocked on an Appleway Drive resident's window and then ran away.

Officers were called to the emergency room at Kalispell Regional Medical Center after a family member of a patient became unruly.

A man in the middle of Seventh Avenue East North was yelling at passing vehicles.

Officers arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of partner assault after she allegedly punched her boyfriend during an argument on Sixth Avenue East.

Cash and a purse was taken from a vehicle on Sylvan Drive.

A student had her father's Lake County Sheriff's Office badge stolen from a locker at Glacier High School.

Officers received 58 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responded to a motel on U.S. 93 after somebody driving a camper ran into the building.

Officers received 43 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia while investigating a suspicious-person complaint on Third Avenue East.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a shopping complex on U.S. 93 North after smoke started billowing from a car.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to what was reported as a grass fire on U.S. 2 and came across some smoldering railroad ties.
