26-year-old man arrested

A 26-year-old Antelope Trail man was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot his girlfriend with a bow and then pointing a hunting rifle at her. The 24-year-old woman also told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies the man hit and strangled her. The suspect is being held on suspicion of assault with a weapon pending formal charges from the Flathead County Attorney's Office.

A West Evergreen Drive resident heard their car alarm sound twice during the night but was afraid to go out and see what was the matter. In the morning, the resident discovered someone had broke into their vehicle and freezer, which were sitting in the carport.

A mailbox on 15th Street East outside of Columbia Falls was blown up.

A man living across the river from a Riverside Drive resident came onto her property and began acting like a monkey. He was gone when deputies arrived.

A man at a Hungry Horse resort was slamming the bathroom door so hard the building shook.

Deputies separated a man and woman arguing about the custody of their children on West Reserve Drive. The father, who reportedly had been drinking, was trying to take the kids.

Deputies received 167 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police arrested a 21-year-old woman for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly stole two novelty shirts from a store on U.S. 2. Officers tracked her vehicle to a nearby sandwich shop and arrested her when she came out.

A man allegedly grabbed a bat and threatened to hit another man, with whom he was having an argument, at a shop on Third Avenue West North. All parties declined to press charges.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to an assisted living center on East Oregon Street and freed an elderly, wheelchair-bound gentleman from a stuck elevator.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a home improvement store on U.S. 93 North after someone reported smelling natural gas.

The department also responded to reports of fuel spills at a hotel on U.S. 93 South and motel on First Avenue West.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of First Avenue West and Ninth Street Monday afternoon. Two people were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Creston Fire Department was paged out to reports of a forest fire off Foothill Road. Turns out a large slash pile was burning.
