Eureka trips Ronan; Stillwater tops Troy

RONAN - Class B Eureka pushed its win streak in volleyball to four Tuesday, downing Class A Ronan 20-25, 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 15-12.

Eureka is now 4-1 overall.

"It was good match for us," Eureka coach Rhonda Hammond said.

"Ronan had some great hitters.

"Some good tough volleyball," Hammond continued.

"It was kind of a struggle, but that's OK. It was good for us."

Carly Hammond had 16 kills and teammate Briann Linnell was next with nine for Eureka.

Linnell also had six blocks and three aces, both team highs.

Eureka hosts Plains on Thursday in 7-B play

Stillwater 3, Troy 1

Stillwater Christian School downed Troy 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17 Tuesday in nonconference play at SCS.

Julia Smith had 14 kills for the victors. Bridjett Miller and Tana Topp finished with six digs apiece.

Troy was led by Kristin Parks, who had nine kills and three blocks.

Stillwater, 10-1 overall, plays at Helena Christian School on Friday.
