Steve Myers, 50

Steve Myers, 50, passed away Sept. 15, 2008, at his home in Columbia Falls.

He was born on June 15, 1958, in Washington, Ind., and resided in Odon, Ind., until he moved to this area several years ago.

Steve was a licensed barber. He worked for his good friend and mentor Clark 'Smitty' Smith, who taught him the heavy equipment and teamster trades. He went to work for Plum Creek Lumber in Evergreen where he worked for four years. He joined the Operating Engineers Union Local No. 400 and went to work for Schellinger Construction where he was currently employed.

He was an active member of the North Valley Eagle Aerie No. 4081 in Columbia Falls and was the current conductor of the Aerie. He enjoyed working on old cars and rebuilding Harley motorcycles. He liked biking with his friends and wife, Jenny.

Steve is survived by his wife, Jenny, of Columbia Falls; parents, Bob and Connie Myers, brothers, Dave and Jeff, and sister, Tammy, all of Indiana; daughter, Whitney, and husband, Dave Petersen, granddaughter, Alanis, and stepchildren, Dennis and Siehra, all from the Flathead Valley.

A celebration of life was held Sept. 21 at the North Valley Eagles Club.

Cremation has taken place.
