Burglars bust cash register

Flathead County Sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported burglary at an East Idaho Street business, where there was forcible entry and a broken cash register.

He doesn’t live here anymore — that was what residents told deputies when they came knocking, looking for a man wanted on a Bozeman warrant.

A boyfriend and girlfriend were separated after arguing on Collier Lane on Saturday night.

Two cars racing up and down Evergreen’s River Road were fast enough to get away before deputies could get there late Saturday.

An unruly 18-year-old son on River Road prompted his father to call deputies.

The male standing in a ditch along the old steel bridge road looked suspicious, at least to one caller.

Deputies retrieved an intoxicated man from a house on Mission Trail, where the man apparently thought he’d reached home, and took him to his real home a few houses away.

The animal warden found that a dog at an RV park on Helena Flats Road had shelter, food and water after a called reported circumstances to the contrary.

A wallet left in an unlocked car over night went missing.

Deputies received 93 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Kalispell police

A woman reported a salesman to Kalispell police after he told her his boss had more items in their van, and asked her to get in the maroon van with Wyoming plates Saturday afternoon. It turned out to be the same vacuum-cleaner and hand sanitizer salesmen that police checked out a week earlier.

When a fast-food restaurant employee and her boyfriend argued, and the boyfriend allegedly broke out her vehicle window and dented her car door, the manager wanted him removed from the premises. The employee didn’t want to pursue charges.

A man reported stumbling in and out of traffic along East Idaho Street was gone when officers tried to locate him Saturday afternoon.

A parent reported that intoxicated men assaulted his or her son at a West Idaho supermarket Saturday night. Police are investigating.

Concerned about a dog left in the extreme cold in the back of a truck parked at a bar on U.S. 93 South from at least 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., a caller ask police to check. The report came back that the dog was happy and fine.

Grandparents looking after a young child while their son and his wife were at a Christmas party were concerned when they were nearly three hours later than expected in picking up their child. Police, finding they were still at the party, advised them to call home.

Two men were arrested after police checked into a loud party at an apartment on 10th Avenue West about 12:30 a.m. An hour later, officers had to return and give a final warning to quiet down.

Police arrested a woman on a mental health concern after she called from Appleway Drive saying she was bleeding and needed help.

The speed-limit sign in front of an East Idaho casino was knocked down by a vehicle Saturday night, and a casino employee got the license plate number.

Somebody reportedly took a subwoofer, which was in a box, from an unlocked vehicle on Sixth Avenue West.

Officers received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating a report of possible partner or family member assault between a father and daughter on Eddy Court on Saturday night.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man for possession of dangerous drugs during a traffic stop at Cedar Pointe Sunday morning.

Somebody lying near the street in front of a Nucleus Avenue bar Saturday night, reported as possibly intoxicated, was gone when officers arrived.

Officers received 12 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Montana Highway Patrol

Montana Highway Patrol was called for a vehicle in a ditch along Montana 35 just north of Bigfork Saturday night.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 37-year-old man after checking into a report of a family disturbance on Somers Avenue late Saturday.

An intoxicated woman called for a ride from a late-night diner on Central Avenue. Police obliged.

Officers received 21 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Alarms

Somers Fire Department was called to Stoner Creek Road for a chimney fire Saturday afternoon.

Coram Fire Department went to a reported accident that was blocking the road three miles east of West Glacier Sunday just before noon.
