A 42-year-old Kalispell pedestrian died Thursday after being hit by a truck Wednesday night while crossing an Evergreen highway.

The woman was struck shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Montana 35, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

Flathead County coroners are withholding the woman's identity until family members are notified of her death.

Following the crash, the woman was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center where she died Thursday. The driver of the truck, who was traveling eastbound, was not injured.

Troopers do not believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash, but are investigating if alcohol was involved.

Further information was not available Thursday.
