Arnold McClellan Jordan, 85

Arnold McClellan Jordan passed away March 31, 2010, at the age of 85. He was born in Nortonville, N.D., to Alan and Rose (Palmer) Jordan, Feb 22, 1925, one of 13 children. His family migrated to the Spokane area when he was a boy. He grew up there and met his wife of 50 years, Betty (Wolf). They moved to Oregon and lived in Turner and Jefferson, where they raised four children. Arnold worked for 30 years as an appliance repair technician at Valley Appliance Service in Albany, Ore., until his retirement. He then moved to Turner where he lived until Betty s passing in 1995. Arnold then moved to Kalispell to live near his son. There he met and married Gladys Pilsch on Sept 1, 2001. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to camp and spend time outdoors. He loved horses and enjoyed raising and training them. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty; daughter, Janet (Sweeter); five sisters; and four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Kalispell; son, Don, and wife, Janet, of Baker City, Ore.; daughters, Myrna Hennessy and Doug of Jefferson, and Charlene Clements and Paul of Burien, Wash.; and Gladys children, Ron Pilsch and Pat Poole of Kalispell, and Peggy Gahr of Missouri. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Leslie Jordan, of Palo Alto, Calif.; and sisters, Pat Knudsen of Lacrosse, Wash., and Loy McKenzie of Clarks Fork, Idaho. Viewing for Arnold will be from noon to 3 p.m. today, April 3, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Marion Church of God, 7478 Stayton Road SE, Marion, Ore. Internment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Ore.
