Loretta J. O'Boyle, 58

Loretta J. O'Boyle, 58, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Brendan House in Kalispell, after a hard-fought, short battle with cancer. She was born on March 10, 1952, in Kalispell, to Charles E. and Ena (Raths) O'Boyle. Loretta attended St. Matthew's School and was a 1970 graduate of Flathead High School, then a 1972 graduate of Flathead Valley Community College. She later attended and was a National Trust graduate of Northwestern University. Her career began in 1973 working for Conrad and First Interstate banks for 19 years and then going on to D.A. Davidson & Company for 15 years. Loretta was a Trust Officer and retired in 2007. Loretta was raised on the family farm where she lived her entire life. She was a very generous and caring individual who had a passion for the needy. She enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and the valley. She loved spending time with family and friends and growing flowers. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two brothers, Eddie and Leo O'Boyle, both of Kalispell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, with Father Vic Langhans as celebrant. Burial will follow in the family plots at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be sent to St. Matthew's Catholic School, 602 S.
