'Stolen' Yukon was just moved

Kalispell Police got a report of a GMC Yukon being stolen Sunday, but the reporting party soon called back to say he had located the vehicle about a mile away, with no damage, and he suspects it was a practical joke.

A resident on the 200 block of Third Street West said that $250 had been stolen from a purse.

Early Monday, a man reported that he had been assaulted by another man on the 200 block of East Center Street because he was with the attacker’s girlfriend.

Vehicles were ransacked, with nothing of value taken, on the 100 block of Heaven’s Peak, the 100 block of Oberlin Loop and the 100 block of Cedars Commons.

Stereo equipment was stolen from a vehicle on the 400 block of Liberty Street.

After a traffic stop off Airport Road, a woman was arrested for three misdemeanor warrants from another jurisdiction.

There was a report of kids throwing eggs at cars on the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue West.

There were 64 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report Sunday of someone shooting a dog off Rocky Cliff Road and U.S. 93, but a responding deputy couldn’t find anything.

A resident on the 600 block of Pioneer Road reported that three or four vehicles were trespassing on the back end of his property, but the vehicles were gone when a deputy arrived.

An intoxicated transient was advised that he can’t sleep in a business parking lot on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

A Many Lakes Drive resident reported that someone has been getting into a miniature horse pen, where a dead rabbit was recently found.

Monday, items were reported stolen from a garage on Yeoman Hall Road.

A mailbox with mail was reported stolen from a residence on the 1200 block of Lake Blaine Road.

There was a report of an intoxicated woman trying to get into a house on the 400 block of First Avenue in Hungry Horse. A friend gave her a ride to another location before a deputy arrived.

There were 127 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls Police arrested a woman, 31, for partner-family member assault, resisting arrest, assault and assault with a bodily fluid at a residence on Fourth Avenue East North. She was transported to North Valley Hospital Monday morning.

There were 16 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

Smith Valley Ambulance transported an elderly man from a Truman Creek Road residence after he suffered burns, mostly on his lower legs, when a gas can exploded in his hand Monday morning. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Lakeside Quick Response went to the aid of a man who broke his leg after falling over a wood pile on Kraft Avenue in the Somers area early Monday.
