Assailant flees in purple vehicle

A punch to the face left a man unconscious at a bar on Second Street East around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. His unknown assailant fled in a purple Chevy Blazer northbound on Main Street, according to Kalispell Police. The man’s injuries did not require medical attention.

Officers investigated a report of a two people drinking alcohol from an open container along Fourth Avenue West around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers are investigating a possible theft of $25,000 from a restaurant on First Avenue West.

A man has apparently been squatting in a for-sale Bruyer Way residence.

Seeing a golf cart driving along Fifth Avenue East at 6:18 p.m., officers performed a traffic stop.

A seagull with broken wings seen by the railroad tracks near Main Street was taken care of by officers around 7 p.m. Friday.

Friday afternoon, a man was apparently hit by a vehicle as he rode his bike. Although he sustained an injured ankle and a damaged bike, the man said the driver of the vehicle is refusing to pay. He was counseled around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Although a woman was suspicious of a man standing behind her Fifth Street West residence around 11 p.m. Friday, officers learned he was just waiting for a ride.

Officers received 62 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

A First Street South East resident called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies after spotting large animal tracks outside the residence.

A limousine was repossessed from a Bigfork business around 5 p.m. Friday.

Two boys accused of trespassing in the wrecking area of an auto recycling store on Airport Road returned Friday to apologize to the owner.

The stolen vehicle recovered near the river in Hungry Horse was returned to its owner around 6 p.m. Friday.

An adult woman and a girl were cited for shoplifting at a box store on U.S. 2 East Friday night.

A drunk man who refused to leave a Park Street residence was given a ride to a restaurant on East Idaho late Friday night. He returned to the residence about an hour later and was subsequently arrested for trespassing.

Kids were seen throwing rocks in the Spotted Bear Road area around midnight Friday.

A man was seen filling a pickup truck with red dye diesel instead of regular diesel at a gas station along U.S. 2 around 1 p.m. Saturday. Red dye is fuel designated for vehicles that don’t use roadways and so is exempt from state road tax.

Deputies received 127 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish Police were unable to locate the man and woman seen arguing in the middle of downtown around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls Police responded to a report of a vehicle that was rummaged through while it was parked on Martha Road Saturday. Nothing was reported stolen.

Following an accident on Montana 82 around midnight Friday, a woman was apparently unable to feel her legs. She and another person were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical center.

Poison control was notified after a glowstick broke open and got into the eye of a 30-year-old woman.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for DUI by Montana Highway Patrol around 7 a.m. Saturday after her vehicle went into the ditch along Tamarack Lane.
