Lula Margaret Lukenbill, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Brendan House in Kalispell. She was born on Oct. 15, 1929, in Kalispell. Lu, as she was affectionately known, was a life-long resident of Kalispell and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She attended school in Kalispell, until she left to attend college at Berean Bible College in Calgary, Alberta. Lu was never blessed with children of her own, but was a second mother to her many nieces and nephews and children in the nursery and Sunday school at church. She provided spiritual guidance to many individuals who crossed her path, making sure all had an opportunity to know her Lord. Lu worked as a nurse s aide during her life, an occupation in which she could provide comfort to many. The family feels that when Lu got to heaven she said her favorite saying, How bout that. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Nora Lukenbill; a brother, Frank Lukenbill; and two sisters, Edna Rexford and Thelma Rales. Left to mourn her passing are her twin sister, Lena Rogers, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; her sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Don Lyght; brother-in-law, Robert Rales; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, April 14, at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ed Kotesky officiating. Burial will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for Lu s family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to offer condolences and view Lu s tribute wall.
