Police find two bodies Friday

A body was found at a Two Mile Drive residence at 1:16 p.m. Friday, according to Kalispell Police. The individual appeared to have been deceased for about 10 days.

Officers are also investigating a body found at a shelter on Ninth Avenue West at 10:43 a.m. Friday. Apparently the individual had been sick.

Although there appeared to be no indication of foul play in either case, officers are still investigating.

Deputy Dave Leib, coroner for the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, could not be reached for comment.

A passerby called police, worried someone at Depot Park was impersonating a U.S. Marine Corps officer Thursday afternoon. The suspicious person was gone when officers arrived.

A 12-year-old girl was arrested for shoplifting after she apparently tried to steal a “best friends” necklace from an accessories store in a Kalispell mall Thursday night.

A blue and white motorbike sped through Lawrence Park around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers were unable to locate the kids apparently smoking drugs in an alley off Main Street around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Juveniles inside a white Subaru parked at the corner of Hawthorn and Liberty were apparently attempting to open doors into passing cars and flipping people off around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers counseled the juveniles and their parents.

A man was seen urinating on the shop building at Flathead High school around 11 p.m., but wasn’t around when officers arrived.

Employees at a salon on Fifth Avenue West noticed their cars had been sprayed with oil around 1 p.m. Friday.

Officers received 85 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

A man has been charged with felony burglary after apparently breaking into a shed on Magstadt Lane around 4 a.m. Friday. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies located him hiding inside a second shed, on Nicholson Drive. Although he was located with gloves and four small bungee cords, it is unknown what else was taken, if anything.

After apparently kicking a 7-year-old at a Cobbler Village residence, a man was arrested for partner or family member assault around 4 p.m. Thursday.

Worried a neighbor might be shooting in the direction of a Smith Lake Road house, a resident called deputies Thursday evening. Deputies learned the neighbor had a target at a safe distance from the house and counseled the worried resident.

A vehicle that drove into a ditch off Trumble Canyon Road Thursday night finally freed itself, but left a passenger behind. The teen told an observer he had refused to remain in the car because the driver had been drinking, alleging this was the second time the driver drove into a ditch that night. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

An unknown person shot a grouse off a woman’s Narrow Way porch, she reported at 7:41 a.m. Friday.

Deputies received 168 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish Police received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls Police received 12 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

A woman was laying in the roadway following a motorcycle-versus-vehicle accident along U.S. 2 Thursday night. Evergreen Ambulance transported her to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

A man collapsed at a Central Avenue bar around 8:30 p.m. after he walked into the bathroom. He apparently had been drinking. Whitefish Ambulance transported him to North Valley Hospital.
