Guin Beller, 85, passed away on Dec.1, 2010, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She had recently celebrated her 85th birthday with family and friends.

She was born in Whitefish on Nov. 9, 1925, the daughter of Harold and Nora (Ellis) Bailey.

She graduated from Whitefish High School and soon after married Donald Gene Beller.

Guin and her husband built a log cabin and raised four children in the Deer Park area, after spending a few years following construction out of state. In 1962, they moved to Missoula and then Washington state to once again follow construction work. They eventually moved back to their beloved Flathead Valley and raised another daughter after settling in Kalispell.

Guin was a wonderful cook and worked at several restaurants where she made many friends. She enjoyed, with family, the great Montana outdoors while camping, fishing, back country horse trips and cross country snow skiing.

After retirement, Guin and her husband spent their winters in Arizona and Mexico until a horse accident made it too hard for Guin to travel. They still were often seen exploring the country back roads of Flathead County.

She was preceded in death by baby Donna, who died of SIDS as an infant; her husband, Donald; brother, Robert Bailey; and sisters, Elaine Cloud and Phyllis Sirucek.

She is survived by one son, Gerald, of Charleston, W.Va.; and is also survived by four daughters, Karen Hopseker of Newport, Ore., Connie Erickson and Susan Clay of Kalispell, and Sara Artley of Gallatin Gateway. She is survived by sisters-in-law, BethAdele Beller, Eunice McKinley and Della Beller; as well as brothers-in-law, Russell Beller and John Cloud; and by her cousin, Pat Erickson, of Kalispell. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wants to thank the Immanuel Lutheran Home for all the love and care they have given over the years.

In lieu of flowers, may we suggest a donation in Guin's name to Recreation and Transportation services for residents at the Immanuel Lutheran Home.

Memorial services for Guin will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Guin's family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to view Guin's guest book, offer condolences and share memories.
