Hungry Horse man pursued, Tased

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 36-year-old man after he allegedly attacked a deputy who was responding to a call on First Avenue Northeast in Hungry Horse. The man had gone into a seizure and was aggressive toward medical staff. He fled the residence when deputies arrived and attacked a pursuing deputy outside. The deputy threw the man to the ground and Tased him before placing him under arrest. The man was taken to a hospital for an evaluation. The deputy had a minor injury to his hand but was not treated.

Someone damaged the door of a coffee stand on West Reserve Drive during an apparent burglary.

A 70-year-old man on Ridgewood Drive claimed his wife was beating him. His wife said she was asleep at the time and did not assault him.

A Whalebone Drive resident said a neighbor was destroying property with a snow plow.

A woman on Spotted Bear Road in Martin City suspects that someone put sugar in her vehicle’s gas tank.

Six horses were put back in an enclosure after escaping and creating an apparent traffic hazard on Montana 206.

Two pit bulls were returned to their owner after being found in a shed on Dorothy Street near Columbia Falls.

A man was cited for littering after dumping a recliner in a private Dumpster at a business on U.S. 2 East.

A concerned neighbor reported that the residents of an apartment on Montana 35 have had a dead deer on a table in front of the residence for several days.

On Ridgewood Drive, a woman said someone climbed in her home through a window and possibly stole money.

The Kalispell Police Department was notified after a vehicle collided with an unoccupied Flathead County Sheriff’s Office patrol car on Fourth Avenue West.

A woman on Kenway Road said her trustee paid a transvestite $600 to fix her computer. She said the transvestite escaped with the money without fixing the computer.

After an extended stay in a Sunny View Lane medical facility, a woman discovered that someone had stolen the license plate off her vehicle.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on South Main Street. Another hit-and-run was reported on Fifth Avenue West.

Someone passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on East Idaho Street. The alleged crime was captured by surveillance cameras.

Party-goers were asked to turn down music after a noise complaint on Glenwood Drive.

Staff at a medical facility on Heritage Way said a woman caller was being verbally abusive because they couldn’t release information about her father. An officer called the woman, but a man answered and said he was too drunk to be talking on the phone. The woman could be heard in the background screaming obscenities.
