Couple's dispute mars Cooperative Way

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a verbal dispute on Cooperative Way early Monday. A husband wanted his wife to leave his home but she wanted to sleep. Officers gave her a ride to another location.

A driver delivering newspapers found two horses out for an early morning walk at 4:44 a.m. Monday on Lake Blaine Road.

Deputies helped a trespasser decide to leave a residence on Gordon Road in Columbia Falls at 4:54 a.m. Monday. 

Shots were fired on East Reserve Drive Sunday morning. The complaining resident said someone was bird hunting and hit windows. Deputies located the shooter and advised him to aim in a different direction.

Deputies responded to a civil complaint Sunday on Dogwood Avenue. A person attempted to pick up a washer/dryer with a temporary restraining order in effect.

Criminal mischief was reported on Antelope Trail, where someone bashed in the windshield of a car at 11:07 a.m. Sunday .

A woman called deputies Sunday complaining that her ex was threatening to come and take the tires off her car.

A caller reported a temporary restraining order violation off Smith Lake Drive Sunday.

A move went horribly wrong on U. S. 93 South when a recliner ended up in the middle of the road and a children’s wading pool was in the northbound lane, creating traffic hazards.

A Whitefish caller claimed harassment after someone complained about his speeding.

Two dogs chowing down on a dead deer caused a traffic hazard on Farm to Market Road.

Two cars caused a traffic hazard when they were racing each other down U.S. 93 North Sunday.

Musical items were taken in a burglary reported Sunday on Elias Lane in Somers.

Deputies were called to oversee an exchange of children Sunday on North Main.

An alert citizen noticed and reported a door open on a trailer on a lot on U.S. 2 East.

An assault by a 13-year-old boy on his parent was reported at 5:57 p.m. Sunday on Moose Street in Coram. He was located, arrested and placed in juvenile detention.

A caller told deputies that someone unknown was taking down a fence and shed Sunday on property on Sweetgrass Lane that belonged to her grandmother. It turned out to be the grandmother’s son.

Kalispell Police received a report from a man who at first said he was carjacked and he wanted his wallet and credit cards “fingerprinted.” He said someone got in his car on West Califoria Street and took his wallet, keys and checkbook; the items were found a few blocks away with nothing missing.

A parking lot accident on Sixth Street West ended up with a 36-year-old woman arrested on a  warrant at 10:07 a.m. Monday.

A neighbor outside smoking saw three men take things out of a car parked in front of a house on Seventh Avenue West. An officer found a bunch of credit cards on Sixth Avenue West.

A woman was startled when an intoxicated man stumbled into her house on Fourth Avenue East Sunday evening. She asked him to leave then he got into a vehicle that got stuck in the road with no headlights on. He then nearly hit another vehicle. An officer stopped a vehicle meeting the description but the driver was not drunk.

A Chevy truck burst into flames on Fifth Avenue West Sunday evening. The source of the fire was unknown.

A woman complained that she wanted two friends of her roommate to leave her home on Fifth Street West. She claimed that they stole  $350 from her home two nights ago. They were told not to return.

A caller said a youth at an apartment on Ninth Street West told police that two men of the Third and Main Street Gang came to his apartment and forced him to give them a gun clip that was stolen from a vehicle. He said he had planned to give it to the police. He said the men threatened to kill everyone in the house if he refused to hand over the clip.

An iPod and other items were stolen Sunday from an unlocked car on Seventh Avenue West.

Whitefish Police gave a verbal warning to someone trespassing at a residence on Columbia Avenue at 10:17 a.m. Sunday.

Officers issued a ticket for a park rules violation on Spokane Avenue at 10:33 a.m. Sunday.

A theft was reported on Park Avenue at 2:35 p.m. Sunday.

Montana Highway Patrol stayed busy Sunday and Monday with non-injury crashes and slide-ins on Blacktail Road, Holt Stage Road, Rocky Cliff Drive, Sunnyside Drive, Kelly Road and Helena Flats Road.
