Woman arrested for assault with scissors

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 53-year-old woman on suspicion of assault with a weapon after she allegedly cut a man’s hand with scissors during an argument at a home on Conrad Drive. She was arrested at a bar on Woodland Park Drive. The man required minor medical attention but was not seriously injured.

Deputies found a man suffering from hypothermia and took him to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment after a caller on Westwood Lane said the man attempted to gain access to a home.

On Montana 35 outside Kalispell, a motorist reported seeing a man standing in an intersection waving his arms frantically. The man was gone when deputies searched the area.

An angry mother near U.S. 2 East in Coram said her son stole her medical marijuana.

A resident of Whitefish Stage Road near Kalispell found a shattered window after hearing a loud bang, but couldn’t determine what caused the damage.

Three weeks after a party, a person on South Main Street called to report the names of some of the underage attendees.

In a bizarre call from U.S. 93 south of Whitefish, a caller reported that boys were placed in a dog kennel at a church — 25 years ago.

In a possible drug-dealer misdial, a caller on Brunner Road near Columbia Falls reported receiving a text message stating “yellow tens for eight, I got it.”

Extra patrols were requested after a passerby saw a woman staring through windows on U.S. 2 East.

On Batavia Lane, deputies stopped a vehicle after it was reported as reckless. The driver told officers that a relative had been involved in an accident, prompting them to speed to the scene. The driver was allowed to proceed after receiving a warning.

Someone took a mailbox off a post on Mission Trail.

The Kalispell Police Department is seeking information from the public in a criminal mischief investigation involving vandalism to ski trails behind Flathead Valley Community College. A two-tone, 1980s-model Toyota pickup truck was seen driving on the trail Dec. 3. The vehicle is believed to have caused extensive damage to the trail and a bridge designed to cross a drainage ditch. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Doug Overman at 758-7878.

Theft was alleged after a woman inadvertently left a bag of Christmas gifts in a parking lot on U.S. 93 North. When she returned, the gifts were gone.

Two teenage boys and one teenage girl were cited for shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93 North.

On Second Avenue West, a woman said an unknown man came in her house over the weekend.

A 14-year-old girl was reported by her mother after the two argued on Second Street West.

An assault was reported at the KPD station on First Avenue East.

On Appleway Drive, a woman initially reported that her husband pushed her. Later, she said he did not push her but that he is taking steroids and sprayed her in the face with a shower nozzle.

A woman who reported hearing a mysterious “thump” at her home on Second Street West was later told it was probably the sound of a newspaper hitting her door.

Someone reported the theft of a trailer and a jet-ski from property on Second Avenue West.

The windows were broken out of a vehicle parked on Village Loop.
