Teens arrested for multiple car break-ins

The Kalispell Police Department arrested two teenage boys after an Empire Loop resident reported hearing a car alarm and then saw them rifling through vehicles in the neighborhood. The incident followed several other reports of thefts from vehicles throughout Kalispell. Officers later recovered a handgun, rifles, electronics and other stolen property from previous vehicle thefts. Those who had items stolen from their vehicles Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning can call 758-7772 to find out if their possessions were recovered.

Four people reportedly stole items from a business on Hutton Ranch Road and later returned them to the store for credit, which they used to buy merchandise.

Graffiti was reported at a business on U.S. 93 South.

On Cooper Lane, a resident was reportedly threatened by neighbors.

Two men were seen fighting on Seventh Avenue West, but they were gone when officers arrived.

A man was accused of stealing two “dirty magazines” worth an estimated $30 from a business on West Idaho Street.

Two neighbors argued over parenting methods on Windward Way.

A truck was reported stolen on Eight Avenue West North.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Smith Lake Road after a landlord reported that tenants moved out of a house and took many items they didn’t own.

A driver on U.S. 83 in Bigfork reported that a Christmas tree was blocking a portion of the roadway.

Someone reportedly stole a license plate off a vehicle on Coon Hollow Road in Kila.

A woman on Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse said her ex-husband took their son to Wyoming and hasn’t contacted her.

The mother of a Glacier High School student filed a harassment complaint after someone allegedly yelled racial slurs at her child during school.

Five horses and a pony were reportedly without water on Bierney Creek Road.

A large container was reported stolen on KM Ranch Road near Whitefish.

A woman reported that a vehicle almost hit her as she walked along U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse.

Someone broke into a trailer on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.

A mother on Lower Valley Road told a dispatcher her son was outside their home doing drugs with another male.

A man said his son was bumped by a car on Batavia Lane, and that the driver left the scene.

Montana Highway Patrol troopers responded to non-injury collisions on Hanging Rock Drive, Montana 83, U.S. 2 East and Montana 35.

Vehicles reportedly slid off the roadway and required assistance from troopers on Whitefish Stage Road near West Reserve Drive and on Helena Flats Road.
