| December 15, 2010 2:00 AM

On Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2010, “the Lord was given another angel.” Jasmyn Starr Grilley-Hanson died as a result of a car accident in Elma, Wash.

She was born Nov. 16, 1980, in Kalispell, to Starla and Stan J. Hanson. She grew up in Kalispell and Eureka. Her family later moved to Arcata, Calif., and Elma, where she met Joe Wojcik and had two sons, Dylan and Jesse.

Jasmyn was a loving and caring mother to her sons. She loved holidays surrounded by family and friends, and always made sure they had a wonderful time. The last few years she worked for the state of Washington caring for the elderly, which she enjoyed and made lifelong friends through the program. Jasmyn had wisdom well beyond her years, and an upbeat energy that influenced all those around her.

Jasmyn was preceded in death by her father, Stan J. Hanson, in 2004; aunt, Susan Hanson Workman, in 1976; and grandmother, Leola J. Hanson, in 2009.

Among the many surviving loved ones who will miss her so much are her two sons, Dylan, 12, and Jesse, 10, of Shelton, Wash.; her mother, Starla Grilley, of Eloy, Ariz.; brothers, Jeremy Winters of Kalispell, Kevin, David and Michael Astry of Arcata, Calif.; and grandparents, Wes and Doreen Grilley of Kalispell, and Stan O. Hanson of Whitefish. Uncles and aunts include Ron and Carol Hanson of Eureka, Carrie Hanson, Wayne and Tammy Grilley, Keith and Cathy Grilley, and Gaylene and Randy Birky, all of Kalispell. Cousins include Amy and Alan Sempf and children of Columbia Falls, Andy and Julia Hanson and children of Palmer, Alaska, Remi and Dru Mason and children, Alisa Hanson, Jake and Kate Grilley, and Levi and Paige Birky, all of Kalispell. Jasmyn had a couple of special nieces from her brother Jeremy, Shelbylynn Winters and Cassandra Wood of Kalispell. Jasmyn was a special aunt to her brother Kevin’s daughter, Savannah Rose Astry, of Arcata.

Whiteside Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Jasmyn’s family. You are invited to go to www.whitesidefamilymortuaries.com to view Jasmyn’s guestbook, send condolences or share memories.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to First Interstate Bank of Kalispell, where an account has been established on behalf of Jasmyn’s children, Dylan and Jesse Wojcik.
