Oscar H. Olson, 88

Oscar H. Olson, 88, a longtime resident of Kalispell, passed away Nov. 11, 2010, at Brookside Inn Nursing Home in Castle Rock, Colo.

He was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Coteau, N.D., to Sven and Hanna Olson.

Oscar had one brother, Emil, who lived in Jamestown, N.D.

In 1948, Oscar married Marlys Thompson in Coteau, N.D., and moved to Kalispell. They raised their three sons Les, Larry and Alan here in Kalispell. In November 2005, Oscar and Marlys moved to Elizabeth, Colo., to be near Les and his family.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and by his son, Larry, in 2003; and a grandson, Aaron, in 1997.

Oscar was a member of Faith Free Lutheran Church in Kalispell since it was organized. A memorial service will be held there in the spring.
