Ronan rolls past Bigfork

BIGFORK - Ronan outscored Bigfork 44-27 in the second half for an 81-68 nonconference boys basketball victory on Monday night.

Bigfork (3-2 overall) led 39-37 at the half.

"We played really hard, but they just ran away from us in the end," Bigfork coach Paul La Mott said.

"They just had more stamina than we did."

Bigfork was led by Travis Knoll, 15 points, and Christian Ker, 13. Those two also had 10 rebounds each.

Ben Sandry pulled down eight rebounds and Carter Sorenson added 12 points for the Vikings.

Ronan's Jarod Tanner led all scorers with 19 points.

Bigfork hosts Thompson Falls tonight in a District 7-B contest.

Stillwater improved to 6-1 overall by defeated Mount Baker of Cranbrook, British Columbia, in a nonconference contest.

Stillwater broke loose with a 17-point second period to take a 26-14 lead at the half.

Trent Burton led the way offensively for Stillwater with 11 points.

Ryan Koch was next with eight.

Burton and Koch both hit a pair of treys in the game.

Stillwater led 32-25 at intermission.

Morgan Paolini scored 12 points for the Cougars.
