Incident at airport handled by security

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Glacier International Airport where someone was accused of trespassing after riding a baggage carrier into a secure area. Airport security decided to handle the issue internally.

On Berne Road in Columbia Falls, a man was accused of stealing tools from a truck that had been loaned to him.

Stray dogs were seen chasing rabbits on Airport Road.

Trespassing was reported on Wood Run Court near Whitefish where someone apparently used a private hot tub without permission.

A bearded man was seen driving recklessly on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.

After a suspicious blue bag was reported on a bridge on Whitefish Stage Road, a deputy checked it out and found that it was full of garbage.

A concerned passerby on Frontage Road near Columbia Falls thought a dog was frozen to a porch. The dog was gone when a deputy investigated.

On Lodgepole Road in Marion, a caller said someone was stealing his electricity. No evidence was found.

Deputies were called after an intoxicated man fell over on Mountain Drive.

A woman on U.S. 2 East near Martin City said she received more than 10 calls from a bakery employee who claimed she had made a large order. The woman said she never ordered anything.

A physical disturbance was reported on U.S. 93 South, but neither the man or woman involved wanted to pursue charges.

Near Columbia Falls, an angry man called to say another man was beating a woman again.

A gun reported stolen from a vehicle on Eid Lane was later found inside the owner’s home.

A man left on foot after a report of a verbal altercation with his wife on Conrad Drive.

A woman said her estranged husband was driving by her home and texting her on Van Sant Road.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Meridian Road and U.S. 93 South. The occupant of one vehicle reported having head pain, but no other injuries were reported.

A bicycle was stolen from outside an apartment on Rosewood Drive.

On Greenbriar Drive, a man reported that his neighbor backed into his vehicle causing more than $1,000 in damage.

Money was stolen from a home on Chevy Chase Drive.

Someone stole items from vehicles parked near Fourth Avenue West.

A man on East Idaho Street called to report his truck stolen, then hung up abruptly. Employees at a nearby business said the man appeared intoxicated.

Teenagers were seen trespassing in a pool at a business near U.S. 93 South.

A verbal disturbance was reported on Second Avenue East where a caller said a drunk woman was acting out because her keys had been taken away.

A caller said three teenage boys were trying to break into vehicles on Second Avenue East. A similar report was made by a caller on Eighth Avenue East.

On Third Avenue East, someone rifled through a vehicle but didn’t take anything.

An iPod and a radar detector were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for failing to appear in court after a traffic stop on East Idaho Street.

Someone removed cardboard from a Dumpster to start a fire in an alley near Seventh Avenue East North.

A resident of Bluestone Drive received a letter asking that financial information be sent to an address in Nigeria.

A woman on Second Avenue West said someone stole the key to her post office box and took mail.

An assault was reported on North Meridian Road, where a mother was accused of hitting her estranged husband and an 8-year-old boy.

The smell of marijuana prompted a resident of Fourth Avenue East to report suspicious circumstances.
