Bar has surveillance tape of theft suspect

Kalispell Police got a report Monday from a downtown bar regarding surveillance cameras capturing images of someone stealing pictures off a wall.

There was a report of a man physically assaulting a juvenile female in the drive-in parking lot at a bank on East Center Street. No charges were pressed and the parties involved were counseled.

There was a report of a man walking out of a store in the Kalispell Center Mall with a jacket. Officers could not locate the suspect.

Someone calling from Fourth Avenue East reported that a computer had been stolen from a pickup truck sometime overnight.

A man called from Greatview Drive to report that he was having an argument with his girlfriend, who was locked inside an apartment and refusing to give up his toolbox.

Just after midnight Tuesday, there was a report of a drunk, unruly man refusing to leave a downtown bar.

A person called from Fifth Street West to report that a neighbor had recently been assaulted by someone with a baseball bat. There was a request for medical assistance that the man ultimately refused.

At about 5:30 a.m., a person called from Fifth Avenue East to report that a neighbor had recently caught someone trying to break into her  vehicle.

A resident on Coot Court reported that it appeared someone went through his vehicle and possibly a neighbor’s vehicle as well. It was unknown if any items were taken.

There was a report of a pistol being stolen from a residence on Fifth Avenue West North.

Responding to a report of a possible restraining order violation, an officer ended up making a pedestrian stop on U.S. 93 South. A man, 54, was arrested for violating a restraining order by getting too close to a woman who had gone inside a nearby store.

A woman called from 10th Avenue West to report that there was a suspicious man with no shirt who had been sitting in a car in front of her house for about a half hour. The man was advised to walk home and not come back to get his vehicle later that night.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Monday from someone who found six credit cards that had been dropped into a windshield cleaner bucket at a gas station on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

There was a child abuse report from the Lakeside area involving a mother choking a 9-year-old son, and the father wanting the son back in his custody. The matter  was referred to the Department of Family Services.

There was a burglary report on Columbia Falls Stage Road involving locks being cut off of two storage sheds. It was unclear if items had been taken.

A man called from a North Fork Road address to report that he’s been getting threatening text messages from another man. He was advised to get a restraining order.

A Kila area resident reported that he was being threatened by neighbor kids, one of which pointed a baseball bat at him as if it were a rifle.

A person calling from a Chestnut Drive address in the Kalispell area reported that there was a woman refusing to leave a rental unit after being asked to for about an hour. The woman had a child and a couple of cats with her, and it was suspected she might have a mental condition of some kind.

A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend entered her Airport Road residence through a window sometime when she wasn’t there and took a computer and other items.

Monday at about 1 a.m., someone called from the Lakeside area to report that there was a barefoot teenager with a bleeding face outside who was looking for his friends. The teenager turned out to be intoxicated. After his father was contacted, he was released to the custody of an uncle who lives near Lakeside.
