Ina Leona West, 97

Ina Leona West, 97, died Dec. 25, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Whitefish.

She was born March 22, 1913, in Otter Tail County, Oak Valley Township, Hewitt, Minn., in a log house to Nathan and Harriet (Smith) Finn.

Leona was so thankful for all the joy and the loving family that she had. She is thankful for all that she had been given.

  She is survived by six daughters, Laura Monson of The Dalles, Ore., Leora Muraoka of Whitefish, Viola Loveall of Canby, Ore., Maxine Selner of Tigard, Ore., Ruby Imholt-Johansen of Whitefish, and Peggy Knudsen of Eugene, Ore.; two sons, Tommy Macomber of Lewistown, and Archie Macomber of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and seven stepchildren, LeRoy Thompson of Puyallup, Wash., Carol Naber of Havre, Ida Braitwaith of Kenniwick, Wash., Trudy Nevins of Sidney, Ruth Crabtree of Sidney, Betty Rabidue of Wilson Creek, Wash., and Bob West of Columbia Falls.

Graveside Services for Leona will be held on her birthday March 2011 at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
