Man threatens woman with snowblower

A Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy counseled two angry neighbors on Lake Five Road in West Glacier after a man allegedly threatened to run over a woman with a snowblower. The woman said the man hit and threatened her after she warned him to stay off her property. No one was arrested.

An employee at a laundromat on U.S. 2 East near Kalispell reported finding excrement in a dryer, wastebasket and other areas of the business.

On Valley Drive, a woman had questions after she saw a strange man talking with her 8-year-old grandson.

A blind Rottweiler was returned to its owner after it was found in a yard on Pleasant Valley Road.

 A man near Lake Blaine said he caught his wife with another man on Christmas and that the woman’s father is now threatening him.

Gasoline was siphoned from several vehicles owned by a business on Auction Road.

Mail was found strewn across the roadway on Park Avenue.

Someone on Morning View Drive reported a theft that allegedly happened more than two years ago.

Forgery was alleged on Oakmont Loop near Columbia Falls after someone apparently stole and passed checks.

A snowboard was reported stolen on Big Mountain Road.

A caller on Jellison Road saw a short, bald man dressed in black steal four tires from a front yard.

On Van Sant Road, a woman said a man was banging on her door, shouting expletives and saying “I hope you die.” Later, she said it was her boyfriend and that she initially didn’t recognize him.

Two teenage boys were seen carrying a flashlight and a rifle on North Hilltop Road outside Columbia Falls. A deputy was unable to locate them.

Animal cruelty was alleged on McMannamy Draw where a caller said horses were not being fed or cared for.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of disorderly conduct from someone on North Main Street who said a woman was dressed too promiscuously while shopping. An officer talked to the woman, but no crime had been committed.

Three men were seen fighting outside a business on Woodland Park Drive.

In downtown Kalispell, a caller reported seeing a man hand a teenage girl a beer. An investigating officer determined it was actually a soda.

A hit-and-run collision was reported after a caller on Foxtail Drive noticed damage to a vehicle.

On Fourth Avenue South, a 16-year-old girl was reported as a runaway after leaving basketball practice. She was later found with her mother.

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Greenbriar Drive.

A dog bit a child on Stillwater Loop.

Threatening text messages were being sent to a woman on Eighth Avenue West.

On Sandhill Court, someone reported finding a hollowed-out pen and tin foil in a teenage girl’s room and wanted the items tested for drugs.

On Greatview Drive, a woman reported receiving creepy phone calls from an unknown man who knew her address and asked if she was alone. Officers conducted extra patrols in the area.

A resident of Seventh Avenue West said a vehicle was egged for the second time in a week.

Someone slashed the tires of a vehicle parked on Fourth Street West and used glue to spell out an expletive.

Montana Highway Patrol stayed busy in Lake County, where 15 vehicles slid off various roadways as of Wednesday afternoon. Troopers responded to four crashes on U.S. 93 South in the area, though no serious injuries were reported.

Crashes were reported on Montana 35 near Peaceful Drive, U.S. 2 west of Kila, U.S. 2 near the intersection of Monte Vista Drive, Haskill Basin Road, Airport Road and U.S. 93 in Flathead County.
