Angry man sits on son-in-law

Flathead County sheriff

A man sat on his son-in-law during an argument Saturday afternoon. The son-in-law’s apparent refusal to clean the house sparked the dispute. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies separated the men.

Swinging a shovel, a man missed the man he was attempting to attack around 4:17 a.m. Saturday, but ended up denting a vehicle parked near the Parliament Drive residence. He was later arrested for criminal mischief.

Several people enjoying a hot tub after-hours were told to return to their rooms. They were reportedly making a lot of noise around 3 a.m. at the motel on Spokane Avenue. No word on if they had been drinking.

A worried woman called deputies after someone entered her house through the window around 3:13 a.m. Saturday. She called back and canceled the concern after she realized the suspicious person was her roommate.

A woman had to use a cart to transport her post-op dog to her Lost Creek Drive residence, but was dismayed when she noticed someone had plowed snow onto her route. She notified deputies Friday night.

A stolen vehicle was located at a Martin City bar Saturday morning. The vehicle, with keys inside, was  stolen sometime Friday night from a motel parking lot in Hungry Horse. There are no suspects. Deputies are investigating.

Vehicles had to swerve around a transient standing in the middle of U.S. 2 East in Evergreen Saturday morning. The yelling man was gone when deputies arrived.

 Deputies received 171 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

A woman, suspected of DUI, was arrested by Kalispell Police during a traffic stop on East Oregon Street just before 2 a.m. Saturday. On the way to the station, she apparently vomited in the back of a squad car and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was taken to Flathead County Detention Center after she sobered up.

Officers drove a teen home Friday evening after he took too many of his prescription pills and fell asleep in class, where his face was written on. 

Officers received 75 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

Two snowmobilers lost overnight near Olney are OK, Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies reported. The men were reported missing at 10:42 p.m. Friday night and were located by Flathead County Search and Rescue around 9:50 a.m. Saturday. A woman became worried when the men didn’t return home Friday night, and called authorities after searching the parking lot of the Upper Whitefish Campground. The men had reportedly gotten stuck in the snow.

A motorist reported that a vehicle was off the road in the rocks just south of Lakeside on U.S. 93 South Friday around 6:44 p.m. Several law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the scene, but were unable to locate any signs of an accident.
