Unknown woman makes threats

Flathead County sheriff

Around 1:50 a.m. Thursday, an unknown woman walked into the yard of a Conrad Drive residence and threatened to beat up a woman there. The resident, who was counseled, told Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies she didn’t know who the suspicious person was, or if she lived in the area.

A dog on River Road was in a pen that had three inches of water on the bottom, according to a report deputies received Wednesday afternoon. The owner was counseled.

A counterfeit $50 bill turned up at a gas store on U.S. 2 East. Deputies are investigating.

Two junior high aged girls apparently sending threatening texts were counseled around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Loud music disturbs a Stoner Creek Road resident every night, according to a report deputies received at 2:39 a.m. Thursday. When authorities arrived, the offending residence was dark and quiet. 

Upset about the apparently icy McCaffery Road, a motorist called deputies Thursday morning requesting a sand truck.

Deputies received 116 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

While stopped Wednesday afternoon in a bank drive-through on U.S. 93 North, two young men apparently waved a bag of what appeared to be marijuana, then placed it back in the glove box, according to bank employees. Kalispell Police were unable to locate the suspicious car.

Four suspicious persons, one of whom was a woman, were kicking the door of a TV news station on First Avenue East Wednesday night. They left northbound in the alley and were gone when officers arrived. The door sustained no damage.

Officers counseled a disoriented man at a casino on West Idaho just before midnight Wednesday after he told officers he didn’t know where he lived.

A man who left his Chevy truck in a parking lot overnight was dismayed to discover the driver’s side window broken around 4:17 a.m Thursday.

Officers received 95 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police arrested a 44-year-old Whitefish woman on a felony theft warrant Thursday afternoon.

Officers received 17 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls Police

Two girls were apparently fighting at the Columbia Falls High School Thursday.

Officers received 8 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

Wednesday night, a Kila man sustained six broken ribs after he was apparently pushed into a counter by a friend with whom he was arguing. He was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Although he reportedly didn’t want to press charges that night, he changed his mind Thursday morning around 8:40 a.m. after he sobered up and was released from the hospital.

An unruly man at a Lakeside denture retailer was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Whitefish Fire Department was unable to detect the natural gas smell reportedly in the living room of a Kalispell Avenue residence late Wednesday night.

A gas smell reported soon after noon Thursday at the library in Whitefish turned out to be from a cleaning product.
