Man hit son with pepper spray

After a man called dispatchers to report that he had just pepper sprayed his son, Kalispell Police went to the Windriver Drive residence and arrested the son, 18, for partner-family member assault early Monday.

A resident on the 300 block of Kelly Road reported that his neighbors were screaming and yelling. Officers advised the neighbors to keep it down.

A person at an East Idaho motel reported that people in a nearby room were fighting. That led to the arrest of a woman involved in the argument on a warrant.

A man called to say that he and his friends were hiding in the post office on Second Avenue West after one of them had been threatened by another with a gun. The suspect was contacted by officers and arrested on a warrant.

There was a report of a car being keyed sometime over the weekend on the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue East.

A readerboard sign and letters were reported stolen from a business on the 1000 block of Meridian Road.

Four teenage boys were arrested for attempting to steal from a pop machine at a hotel on the 1700 block of U.S. 93 South.

There were 56 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Several Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies went to a residence on the 2000 block of Farm to Market Road Sunday night after a girl called to report that her father had struck her, knocking her down a flight of stairs. The girl’s mother said it didn’t happen and that the girl was angry because she couldn’t leave with a friend. It was determined there was no assault.

A bartender at an establishment on U.S. 93 in Lakeside reported that a woman had just struck her and left. The suspect could not be located and the bartender didn’t want to pursue charges.

Monday morning, a resident on Martini Lane near Columbia Falls reported that the house had been egged and that someone had left “poo” on the porch.

Letters were reported stolen from a readerboard at an East Idaho business.

A woman reported that two boys had thrown glass bottles at her moving vehicle on East Idaho near the underpass.

There was a report of a suspicious man wearing all black clothing and carrying a rifle walking on Woodland Drive near Willow Glen. He could not be located.

Residents on Pleasant Valley Road near Marion reported that their son’s ex-girlfriend was harassing them with repeated phone calls.

A man reported that his girlfriend’s 18-year-old son was refusing to leave a home on the 1100 block of Ashley Drive. He left after being contacted by deputies.

Sheriff’s dispatch had 92 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish Police arrested a woman, 38, for drunk driving at Second Street and Baker Avenue Sunday night.

After a traffic stop on Second Street and Pine Avenue,  another person was arrested for drunk driving.

Monday morning, a man, 29, was arrested on a warrant after turning himself in at the police station.

There were 24 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls Police had no significant incidents and just five log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

Kalispell Ambulance transported a man found lying on the ground next to a vehicle on the 500 block of West Idaho to Kalispell Regional Medical Center Monday morning.

West Valley Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on the 500 block of Grande Vista Drive Sunday night and took care of it within 20 minutes.
