The 19-year-old Eureka woman who died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 2 north of Kalispell last week has been identified as Lakeisha Dawn Thibault by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. Feb. 12.

Thibault was southbound in her Subaru wagon when a Chevrolet pickup attempted to pass her, sideswiping the Subaru and causing both vehicles to roll off the right side of the highway.

The Montana Highway Patrol has recommended two felony charges against the driver of the pickup, Tyrone J. Stallcup, 28, of Columbia Falls.

The patrol is recommending that Stallcup be charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol and criminal endangerment, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, second offense.

Both drivers were not wearing seat belts and both were ejected from their vehicles. Thibault was pronounced dead at scene.
