Dogs accidentally stuck in pup wash

Kalispell police

Two Pit Bulls were reportedly stuck inside a dog wash on U.S. 2 after their owner left to start the car and accidentally let the door shut behind her. It locked automatically. There were no employees on the scene, so the woman called Kalispell Police. Officers were able to locate the business owner, who came to unlock the door around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

An apparently intoxicated man entered a residence on First Avenue West, then left around 4 p.m. Friday. The occupants stated they don’t want him to return. He was gone when police arrived.

Eight or nine women were reportedly jumping on a car parked along Sixth Street West soon after midnight Friday. They were gone when officers arrived and neighbors reported they hadn’t see anyone in the area or a damaged vehicle.

An employee called from a restaurant on East Idaho Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to report a man who apparently dined, then dashed. He took off on foot. Officers are investigating.

While at a party, an apparently drunk man got in a fight with his wife around 6 a.m. Saturday, then allegedly threatened to stab and kill people. He reportedly got hold of some knives, but the other party-goers were able to get them away from him. Police arrived and separated parties. At the time, no one wanted to press charges.

Officers received 48 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

A middle-aged husband and wife called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies on each other following a fight between the two that turned physical. The man was the first to call from their Rainbow Court residence around 4 p.m. Friday. They were separated, then both arrested.

Loose cows seen wandering near Montana 206 were collected by their owner around 4:30 p.m. Friday. In an unrelated incident, a small black and white cow reportedly wandered into the parking lot of a business on West Reserve Street and was later seen near a mobile home dealership on U.S. 2 around 8 a.m. Saturday.

A woman called to ask deputies if she would be in trouble if she accidentally hit any children as they sledded down the middle of Star Meadows Road. Authorities informed her she should avoid them.

People reportedly throwing snowballs at passersby around Whitefish Stage and Reserve Drive were gone when deputies arrived.

A Cocker Spaniel was OK after it was reportedly left in a vehicle parked outside a bar on Montana 35 for about two hours.

A man dressed like a character from a horror movie was apparently wandering near a grocery store on Baker Avenue in Whitefish around 5 a.m.

Two dogs reportedly charged a woman as she walked across her lawn on Ponderosa Lane Saturday afternoon. She was counseled by deputies.

A woman called to report her wallet was stolen from her cart while she shopped in a box store on East Idaho Street Saturday afternoon. She called several minutes later to report she had found it.

An ambulance was dispatched for a woman after she reportedly fell into a snowbank near Second Street West and was unresponsive around 2 p.m. Saturday. She came to and authorities determined she was drunk.

A man dressed in camouflage seen near Mountain Meadow Road Saturday afternoon was reported as a possible poacher. Deputies turned the matter over to Montana Fish and Game.

Deputies received 123 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police arrested a 16-year-old Whitefish man near Columbia Avenue and Ninth Street around 12:45 a.m. Saturday for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Officers received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a 21-year-old man for driving under the influence near Seventh Street West around 2 a.m. Saturday. In the same incident, his 15-year-old passenger was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Officers received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
