Airport drivers take curb route

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday night involving a man who was having trouble getting his credit card to work in exiting the Glacier National Park International Airport parking lot. Frustrated people in vehicles lined up behind him started leaving without paying, driving over a curb to get out.

After a young child arrived at North Valley Hospital with an injured foot, there was suspicion that he had been abused. Investigating deputies later located the child’s father at home, passed out drunk. The man, 49, was arrested for assault on a minor.

Early Monday, there was a report of prowlers in the vicinity of the Stoltze Land and Lumber Mill. Deputies couldn’t find anyone when they arrived.

A man who called to report that he had overdosed on medication at a South Cedar Drive residence was detained on a mental health arrest and taken to the hospital for evaluation.

A window at a business on U.S. 2 west of Columbia Falls was shot with a BB gun sometime over the weekend.

Sheriff’s dispatch had 113 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

A man who was cursing and refusing to leave an East Idaho restaurant Sunday night was convinced to do so by Kalispell police.

A woman reported that an ex-boyfriend was outside her residence on the 100 block of Hawthorn, but he left soon after she called the police.

Early Monday, a resident on the 1900 block of Greatview Drive reported that a vehicle was parked outside with a man and woman who were having a physical altercation. The vehicle had left by the time officers arrived.

After a traffic stop on the 900 block of First Avenue East, a woman was cited for obstructing officers and a man was arrested on a felony warrant.

A burglary was reported at a business on the 1000 block of U.S. 2 West, but there were no details on what may have been stolen.

A resident on the 100 block of Russell Drive reported that antlers had been stolen from the backyard.

There were 53 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police had no significant reports, and 18 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

After a traffic stop on Baker Avenue and Railway Street early Monday, Whitefish police arrested a man, 38, for drunk driving, a stop-sign violation and having no insurance.

There were 31 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
