Beer heist clues lead to mom's house
Kalispell police
After allegedly stealing a case of beer from a convenience store on West Idaho, a man jumped into a car waiting in the alley. The newer silver vehicle, purportedly driven by his girlfriend, then drove to a Kalispell residence. Kalispell Police, however, got a license plate number for the suspect’s car and were able to locate the vehicle soon after it arrived at the residence. When officers knocked at the door, a woman answered. She said she was the mother of one of the suspects and called both suspects to the door. The case of beer was recovered unopened and the male suspect was arrested for theft. The woman was arrested for obstructing justice. No word on whether they were underage.
A 9-year-old boy was released to his mother after he attempted to steal an unspecified item from a grocery store on First Avenue East.
A woman became high-centered on a fire hydrant on Woodland Avenue after she reportedly went into a skid and lost control of her Dodge pickup. She hit the hydrant, which broke free from the ground and rolled under her vehicle, stopping it. Authorities were able to free the truck around noon Tuesday.
Antlers were reported stolen from the backyard of a residence on Russell Drive. There are no suspects or witnesses.
Police were unable to locate the unknown persons reportedly spinning broadies in Silverbrook Estates.
A man wanted police to contact his soon-to-be-ex girlfriend after she reportedly sent him threatening text messages telling him she was going to throw his property in the yard. Officers called both parties and left a message for the woman.
Officers received 84 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Flathead County sheriff
Worried a neighbor was harboring his runaway son, a man called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies. The neighbor denied the allegation.
A man called deputies to report unknown persons were at his residence, then called back a few minutes later to cancel the report because he recognized them.
A turkey survived getting hit by a car along Hilltop Avenue Tuesday afternoon, only to be dispatched later due to its extensive injuries. Damage to the car is unknown, as is whether the turkey was taken to the food bank.
Five one-dollar bills were stolen from a vehicle parked outside a box store on U.S. 2 East. A 22-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting cosmetics from another box store on U.S. 2.
A man called deputies around 9:30 p.m. Monday to report another man is threatening him and driving by his house.
An unknown woman was reportedly running around the parking lot of a motel on North Main Street around 5 a.m., yelling for someone to let her in. She stopped yelling shortly thereafter and the complaint was canceled.
Coming across a jack-knifed truck on Truman Heights Road, a truck carrying a bulldozer was able to pull it out and both continued on their way.
Four horses, including one grey and one bay, were reportedly running loose along Two Mile Drive. Their owner collected them and they were taken home around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police
A Kalispell man was arrested, then booked into Flathead County Detention Center on Monday on a warrant stemming from an incident on Nov. 18 when he allegedly punched through a window in downtown Whitefish, then later fell through a window along with an officer at the Whitefish Police Department as he was resisting arrest.
Officers received 47 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
