Lidia E. Jones, 82

Lidia E. Jones, 82 passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at her home in Kalispell. She was born on May 1, 1927, in Trieste, Italy, to Guerrino and Maria (Kresesezich) Fabbro. Lidia received her early education in Italy, graduating from high school and going on to attend the university. She graduated with a master s degree in music. She very much enjoyed teaching piano in Italy, as well as in Kalispell. Lidia reminisced that it was very difficult growing up in a German-occupied Italy. After World War II she met Woodie Jones while roller skating. They were later married. During Woodie s service in the Army the family traveled to the United States, Germany, France and back to the United States. After his retirement in 1969 the couple moved to the Flathead Valley. Lidia worked as the head cook at the Outlaw Inn for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, swimming with her pool friends at The Summit, and she was a member of Central Bible Church. Lidia was always encouraging and supportive to her daughters in their horse and dog show activities. Lidia was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Woodie, in 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Hagen and husband, Randy, of Great Falls, and Linda Cummings and husband, Roger, of Laurel; and one grandson, Christopher Norbeck, of Bozeman. She also leaves behind her beloved little dog, Tina. Funeral services for Lidia will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ron Youde of Central Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at C.E.
