Mary Hendricsen Snyder, 94

Mary Hendricsen Snyder died peacefully in her sleep Jan. 1, 2010, in Kalispell. Mary was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Rockford, Ill. At age 12 she and her family moved to southern California. While attending Whittier College she met and married Lynn C. Snyder. They were married 45 years until his death in 1980. They were blessed with three children. Mary is survived by her three children, Tom Snyder and his wife, Carolyn, Dave Snyder and his wife, Linda, and Marylynn Langbein; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Mary was always active in the communities where she lived, from hospital volunteer groups, Sunday School teaching and the Boys and Girls Scouts. Her favorite activities were playing bridge, entertaining and serving wonderful meals. She had an endless collection of recipes and cookbooks. Mary will be remembered for her love of family, her sense of humor, personal grace and loving heart. She will be greatly missed. All are welcome to the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Christ Church Episcopal, 215 Third Ave. E., in Kalispell. The family suggests donations can be made to the Christ Church Episcopal/Foundation Fund in Mary s name.
