Woman steals egg poacher, Advil

Kalispell police

A can of soup, Advil and an egg poacher were apparently among the items a woman reportedly stole from a grocery on U.S. 93 South Thursday night. She was cited by Kalispell Police.

After reportedly finishing an entire bottle of alcohol as he sat in front of a grocery on Third Avenue East, a man walked into the store Friday afternoon. There were no complaints filed, the caller was just concerned for the man’s welfare. 

No arrests were reported following a report of an assault on a minor at a residence on Sixth Avenue East Friday evening. Police are investigating.

Following a traffic stop along North Meridian Road, a 29-year-old man was arrested for his second DUI and a 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and obstructing justice.

Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday a man came to the door of a residence on Second Avenue East North asking if it was the “Chapman” residence. He was reportedly acting strangely and unwilling to leave after the residence informed him that the house was not the Chapman residence. The man was gone when police arrived.

A man allegedly assaulted a woman, her son and her son’s girlfriend while they were at a residence on First Avenue West Thursday night. No arrests were made. Police are investigating.

A suspicious man seen crawling through the window of a Bluestone Drive residence around 5 a.m. Friday apparently lives there.

A man wearing a sandwich board apparently goes out in the middle of traffic when it stops at the light at Idaho and Meridian, according to a motorist who called around 10 a.m. Friday. The motorist was counseled by police.

Officers received 67 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Flathead County sheriff

Two neighbors, aged 21 and 19, were reportedly screaming at each other on Moon Ridge Drive Thursday night. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were informed that the men’s’ fathers will handle the matter.

After an argument between a man and his girlfriend Thursday night, the man left the Kings Loop residence. The woman was later arrested on unrelated warrants.

Whitefish Fire Department responded to a report of a wood-burning odor in a woman’s home on U.S. 93 West Thursday night. They found nothing suspicious.

Suspicious images suspected to be of a pornographic nature were reportedly at a Bernard Road residence Friday morning. Authorities are investigating.

A dog was running around on the playground with children at Evergreen Elementary around 11:30 a.m. Friday. The dog was taken to the shelter.

Deputies received 94 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a 22-year-old man on charges of assault and resisting arrest following an incident on Nucleus Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Friday. Outside on the street, the man allegedly knocked another man to the ground and pushed him several times. 

Officers received 16 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
