The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent murders of two men whose bodies were found Thursday afternoon in Creston.

A sheriff’s deputy found the bodies of Donald Roy Calbick, 60, and Stacey Michael Calbick, 38, of Kalispell at a home on Mennonite Church Road, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office

Investigators believe Justin Calvin Calbick, 30, of Creston is a “strong suspect in the double homicide,” according to Sheriff Mike Meehan.

The murder victims, who had been shot, are the father and brother of Justin Calbick.

Calbick already is in custody.

He had been arrested early Thursday morning following an incident Wednesday night where three adults and three children were bound with duct tape and held at gunpoint for three hours at a Mennonite Church Road home.

Calbick is accused of taking a loaded .22-caliber rifle to the home of his estranged wife. He allegedly told her to tie up her father, her three children and her friend with duct tape, then bound her.

After the hostages were freed, Calbick was arrested at the home.

Evidence recovered at the scene included a .22 caliber rifle, 17 rounds of ammunition and duct tape.

Calbick faces two counts of deliberate homicide as well as charges of kidnapping, assault with a weapon and aggravated burglary.
