Perfume thieves still at large

Kalispell police

Concerned some homeless people were cold, a woman took them to her Third Avenue West residence Friday night. She called Kalispell Police after they apparently left with her perfume. Police were unable to locate the suspected thieves.

A customer looked awfully familiar to a teller at a bank on U.S. 93 North. Realizing she had seen the man in a Crime Stoppers ad, she called police, who arrested the man around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Around 12:45 a.m., people were apparently throwing trash at a man after he was kicked out of a bar on Second Street East.

A man has been told to leave a hotel on North Main and not come back, but apparently keeps returning under different aliases. Officers advised him around 1 a.m. Saturday that if he continues to return he will be cited for criminal trespass.

A drunk man who was apparently assaulted at a restaurant on East Idaho around 3:15 a.m Saturday was advised to call back when he sobered up.

A motorist feared the elderly woman pushing a shopping cart along West Idaho Friday night would be hit by a vehicle because she is difficult to see. Police were unable to locate the woman.

Seven people reportedly fighting in the parking lot of a bar on Woodland Park Drive were gone when police arrived around 11:45 p.m. Friday.

Officers received 95 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

Neighbors are using a hearing device to snoop around, according to a resident of an apartment complex on Grand Drive who called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies at 9:43 p.m. Friday. Advice was given.

A cat bit a person in the Panoramic Drive area Friday afternoon.

Fearing her horse’s caretaker was trying to steal her animal, a woman called deputies Friday afternoon after she and the caretaker were unable to sort out a time for her to visit the animal. Advice was given.

When a credit card company apparently refused to stop calling a card owner, the owner contacted deputies, who offered advice.

A woman was cited and released for shoplifting at a box store on U.S. 2 East Friday afternoon.

Deputies were unable to locate the suspicious flashlights seen behind a Solberg Drive residence around 11 p.m. Friday.

A butchered cow apparently lying in a field in the West Valley Acres area is attracting dogs, which are chasing horses.

Deputies set up a trap for a Pit Bull running near a cemetery on Conrad Drive.

Deputies received 169 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

A woman reportedly left a 6-month-old child unattended in a car for about 20 minutes Saturday morning while she was in a casino on U.S. 93 South. Whitefish Police are investigating.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested for driving  under the influence near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Waverly Place at 1:47 a.m. Saturday.

At 2:07 a.m. Saturday, officers arrested two men, ages 22 and 25, for disorderly conduct after they apparently fought at a bar on Central Avenue.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at a Mill Avenue residence around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Officers received 21 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Narcotic pain pills were stolen during a burglary at a residence on Grace Road Saturday afternoon. Columbia Falls Police are investigating. 

A 43-year-old man was arrested Friday night for driving under the influence on U.S. 2 West.

Officers received 13 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

Kalispell Fire Department responded to a report of smoke near the moose statue next to a sporting goods store on Hutton Ranch Road. Upon arrival, they determined it was the result of an electrical problem with one of the ground lights.

A 12-year-old who reportedly sustained shoulder, knee and spine injury while skiing was transported to North Valley Hospital Saturday around 1 p.m.
