Yelling, knives, booze lead to arrest

Kalispell Police responded to a physical disturbance at 2:33 a.m. Friday after a girlfriend was reportedly attacking a man with kitchen knives and yelling at him. The man was locked in the bathroom. The woman had been drinking. The man was not injured. A newborn baby was safe. Police took someone into custody.

A woman called police to say that a dog was living in a shed with no ventilation. The call came in at 9 a.m. Friday.

Police received a call about transients drinking in an abandoned building.

A theft was reported at 1:39 p.m. Friday about a male shoplifter who was “out of control” at a business in the 100 block of Hutton Ranch Road. The suspect was arrested.

Police responded to the scene of a three-car accident on U.S. 93 and Grandview at 1:57 p.m. Friday. Two patients were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. One lane of traffic was shut down.

At 10:33 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a gray Nissan pickup with a shell camper swerving “all over the road” on U.S. 93 North.

Police responded to a noninjury vehicle accident at 5:33 p.m. Thursday after a white Toyota Corolla and a gray car collided on First Avenue West.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a report of two big jacks stolen from a pickup truck on East Evergreen Drive around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

An identity theft was reported at 12:36 p.m. Thursday when a man discovered that someone used his personal information to set up a satellite TV account after he set up a health-care savings account.

At 4:08 p.m. Thursday, sheriff’s deputies took a report of a payroll dispute after a portion of an employee’s paycheck was not deposited into his retirement account.

A former boyfriend was arrested Thursday at 11:07 a.m. after a disturbance was reported on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen. A woman said the man picked a lock to gain entry to the home, punched and kicked the bathroom door, and struck the woman in the face with his elbow. The man was not at the home when deputies arrived, but was later located at his mother’s home.

At 3 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported a dispute with her niece on U.S. 93 north of Whitefish. The dispute was over people living at a residence and not working. The woman had a red mark on her face.

Shoplifting was reported at 10:24 p.m. Thursday at a business in Coram. A video at the store showed two females and one male taking alcohol by concealing it in their clothing. Deputies are searching for the three suspects.

A disturbance between a husband and wife was reported at 1:33 a.m. Friday on Light Trail after a man reportedly broke the bedroom door and threw a couple of items on the floor. Deputies responded and the woman agreed to leave for the rest of the night.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vehicle injury accident at 11:20 a.m. Thursday at Leighton and Carbine Road.

A vehicle accident with property damage was reported at 1:06 p.m. Thursday at a food store.

Burglary and criminal mischief were reported at 2:09 p.m. Thursday in the 53000 block of Main Street.

Possession of dangerous drugs was reported at 2:07 p.m. Thursday.

A vehicle accident with property damage was reported at 3:23 p.m. Thursday on Mission View Drive in Polson.

A theft was reported at 3:21 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of 15th Avenue East in Polson.

Harassment was reported at 4:23 p.m. Thursday at an apartment complex.

A vehicle accident with property damage was reported at 5:06 p.m. Thursday at an auto parts store in Ronan.

Family member assault was reported at 7:02 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Toweepah Lane.

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a suicide attempt at 7:50 p.m. Thursday on a U.S. 93 bridge.

A report of disorderly conduct was made at 10:22 p.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 1000 block of Cherry Hill Court.

A theft was reported at 10:29 p.m. Thursday at a hardware store in Polson.

Alarms

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident that resulted in a van rollover near Montford Road and Montana 35 at 5:25 p.m. Thursday. A black Kenworth dump truck collided with a silver Dodge Caravan. No injuries were reported.
