Bear peeks into Martin City window

Someone in the Martin City area reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that a bear was looking in a house window Sunday morning. The report was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

There was a report of a window being broken out of a vehicle and the exterior being keyed in the Somers area.

There was a reported theft from a vehicle in the Lakeside area, but it was unclear what items may have been taken.

Someone reported that a man with two young children was walking door-to-door, asking for money on Park Avenue in the Evergreen area.

A disturbed woman was transported from Montana 40 west of Columbia Falls to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.

There was a report of people speeding on a motorcycle and a four-wheeler on the Rails to Trails route west of Kalispell.

There was a report of a shop being broken into on River Road, but it was unclear what items may have been taken.

Someone made repeated 911 calls from the Foy’s Lake area, hanging up each time. Finally, the caller said his lawnmower was on fire but he got the fire out.

A Kila-area resident reported that a suspicious man pulled up in a car, got out, took a photo of the resident, got back in the car and left.

Someone reported that a vehicle was traveling on U.S. 93 in the Lakeside area with its back end on fire. It was unclear what happened to the car.

High winds on Monday caused some power outages, according to Flathead Electric Cooperative. There were 1,700 customers without power in the Whitefish area, 1,000 without power in the Columbia Falls area and 300 without electricity in the Libby area.

Kalispell Police got a report of a transient who was exposing himself in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Airport Road Sunday afternoon. The man was taken to a local homeless shelter.

A person reported that a package was stolen from a hotel room on the 600 block of East Idaho Street.

There was a report of a fight on the 100 block of Glenwood Drive, but the parties involved had separated before officers arrived.

Someone reported from First Avenue West address that a bicycle had been stolen.

Just before midnight, officers responded to an accident on West Idaho Street. A man, 23, was arrested for drunk driving and having no insurance.

After a traffic stop on Whitefish Stage Road early Monday, a woman, 30, was arrested for drunk driving and having no insurance.

At about 1 a.m., a man called from Airport Road to report that a customer had been punched by another man, and the customer wanted to press charges. A man, 43, was arrested for assault and obstructing officers.

There was a report of an out-of-control 13-year-old girl on the 400 block of Windward Way. The girl was arrested and taken to juvenile detention.

A person was cited for shoplifting from a business on the 900 block of West Idaho.

A man who injured himself on the propeller of a parked boat in the Columbia Falls area Sunday morning was transported by Three Rivers Ambulance for medical treatment.
