Weapons incident involves drinking

 The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Montana 35 about a weapon incident early Wednesday morning. A gunshot was heard by a neighbor and a man dropped to his knees; later the man seemed to be OK. The parties involved had apparently been drinking. The reporting party believes a woman was cheating on her husband and got the husband out of the house so she could get out of someone else’s bed.

A man advised there was an adult black bear that keeps crossing U.S. 93 at mile marker 24. The bear doesn’t seem to be able to get over or around a high fence in the area, the man said.

Someone reported a red-haired young man walking down the street yelling at 11th Avenue and Eighth Street East. Deputies advised the man to not walk around yelling to relieve his stress.

A complaint came in from Montana 212 about an oil filter being removed from a vehicle. The reporting party said he heard someone talking in the night and later found the filter in the dog run area.

An arrest was made at a bar after a man had warrants for failure to comply and failure to pay.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a red and white plane buzzing a house and scaring horses Wednesday. A crop duster was reportedly in the area for an hour and a half.

A report came in about a blown-up mailbox on Two Mile Drive.

A report was made about a theft from a foreclosed home in Hungry Horse.

A dog was chasing chickens earlier this month, but was caught by the owner of the chickens.

A bike theft was reported on East Idaho Street.

Three horses were running loose on Airport Road near Rocky Cliff.

A man wearing a white shirt, white hat and blue jeans was standing in traffic, pointing and yelling at passersby on U.S. 2 East. He was apparently inebriated.

A verbal discussion on U.S. 2 East in Columbia Falls resulted in someone spinning doughnuts after being told to leave an RV park.

 A road hazard was reported after a box full of glass Christmas ornaments fell on the road at U.S. 2 West near Hidden Waters Lane.

A road hazard was reported after a mobile home was losing a lot of debris.

The owner of a semi rig called to report someone in his truck. A juvenile, who earlier in the day asked the man for scrap metal to sell, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

The Kalispell Police Department received a call from a man who said his soon-to-be ex-wife is was visiting all of the casinos and wasn’t supposed to be.

Someone reported finding $11 at an east-side park.

A theft of batteries and lighter fluid was reported at a store on West Idaho Street and Fifth Avenue West.

A neighbor in the 700 block of Seventh Street West was burning a slash pile creating a lot of smoke.
