Officers break up father-son fight

 Kalispell Police officers counseled a father and son who were fighting in a parking lot at a business on U.S. 93 South on Saturday afternoon.

A girl was picked up for theft at a store on North Main Street. She was released to a relative Saturday.

Officers checked out a suspicious van with the windows broken out and blankets hung over them parked at a business on Hutton Ranch Road. The van’s occupant had been watching customers come in and out of the business for the last week.

On Saturday morning, officers helped evict a man who was harassing housekeepers at a hotel on U.S. 93 South.

A man was cited after starting a fight at a home on Eighth Avenue West. The residents had the man down on the ground in the back yard when officers arrived around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

A caller reported a possible drunk driver swerving around the road on U.S. 2 West late Friday evening. An officer determined the driver was elderly but not impaired.

A man on First Avenue West complained that his roommate on First Avenue West had stolen items from him.

An officer responded to a verbal disturbance on Woodland Park Drive. The parties were counseled and separated.

A caller alerted police Friday evening about a skinny man with long gray hair sitting on a suitcase and “thinking loudly” on Fourth Avenue West. He was taken for an evaluation.

Child neglect was reported in a parking lot on U.S. 93 North where two children were left in a car. The car was gone when an officer arrived.

A young woman was arrested for theft at a store Friday on North Main Street.

A hit-and-run accident was reported in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road.

A man in a tan Subaru was seen hitting a green SUV and leaving a dent. He went into a store and then left without leaving a note.

A person was bitten by a dog at Fifth Avenue West on Friday afternoon. The dog was taken to the animal shelter.

Fraud was reported by a person on La Brant Road. The victim alleged that the postmistress in Monroe, Wash., had stolen the victim’s mail and sent it to a social worker in Kalispell who used the information to steal investments. The victim was advised to contact the Washington authorities.

A person on Eighth Avenue West North reported that paintball guns were used by two teens and a younger child to damage a building. Officers counseled the suspects.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a burglary at an apartment on Fifth Street North.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Round Butte Road.

Deputies were alerted to an animal problem on Mink Lane.

A person was reported missing from the Rainbow Drive area.

Deputies arrested a driver for driving while intoxicated Friday evening on Montana 35.

 

Polson Police checked out an animal problem on the Boettcher Park boardwalk Friday afternoon.

Officers checked out a report of a person driving while intoxicated on Main Street around 4 p.m. Friday.

Polson Police made an arrest for trespassing at Third Street West at 4:45 p.m. Friday.

A caller reported vehicle damage from an incident in a grocery store parking lot Friday evening.

Vandalism was reported at Sacajawea Park.

Officers investigated a complaint of simple assault at a bar.
