Nudity seems to be recurring problem

At around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report of a man walking around nude in the Old Steel Bridge area. There have been several similar reports in the same area recently.

There was a man down behind an Electric Avenue bar in Bigfork.

There was a report of a missing man at a bachelor party in the Echo Lake area. The man was found nearby, sleeping in the woods.

Someone reported that two teenage boys were fighting each other in the Foy’s Lake State Park area. One had to be transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.

Soon after, there was another call from the Foy’s Lake area regarding a man causing a disturbance.

Someone reported that a man was urinating on U.S. 2 near a Hungry Horse Bar at around 6 p.m. Saturday.

There was a report of jewelry being stolen from a residence on Oregon Street just outside Kalispell.

At around 9:45 p.m., someone reported that a mountain lion was stalking a hitchhiker on U.S. 2 in the Lake Five area. It was unclear if the caller bothered to personally warn the hitchhiker.

Someone reported that a fisherman failed to return as expected, but the missing angler called back within a half hour to say he was on his way home.

Early Sunday, just after midnight, there was a report of a fight at a bar on Montana 206, but the parties involved were gone when deputies arrived. About an hour and a half later, there was a report that one of the fighters was in the bar parking lot, harassing someone.

Deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated man threatening to harm himself at a residence along U.S. 2 east in the Evergreen area. He was taken to the Kalispell hospital for a mental health evaluation.

At about 10:30 a.m., someone reported that there was a transient on the ground just off U.S. 2 East in Evergreen. The man was just taking a nap.

At around 1 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle being stolen from the Happy Valley area south of Whitefish. The vehicle was soon located in the Woodland Park area, and a juvenile male was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

At around 7 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle crashing into a pond in the Lake Blaine area. All of the occupants got out safely.

There was a report of a man and woman shoving each other around in a bar on Montana 35. They were separated by deputies.

There was a report of a man punching the windshield out of a vehicle in the Hungry Horse area. He was located, but escaped after running into the woods.

There was a disturbance in the Marion area involving a woman and her teenage children. The parties involved were counseled.

At about 11 p.m. Sunday, a man reported that someone had attempted to break in the front door of his residence on Bear Trail in the Happy Valley area, but the caller scared off the intruder after coming out of the house with a rifle.

At about 2 a.m. Monday, a Whitefish Stage resident reported that someone was in a tree on the property but he chased the trespasser off.

A man called Kalispell Police Sunday evening to report that his girlfriend was hitting him as he drove a vehicle down Denver Avenue, but officers could not locate the vehicle or the people involved.

A man called to report that another man was threatening to beat him up in the Woodland Park area. Officers contacted the alleged harasser, warning him not to return to the area or make contact with the reporting party.

A woman reported that someone stole her purse from an unlocked vehicle parked at 100 block of Third Avenue East North.

There was an initial report from a person who said that a man showed up at an Appleway Drive apartment with blood on him. It apparently was some type of domestic dispute, because the parties involved were separated for the night.

An officer stopped a pedestrian on West Montana Street and cited him for an open container violation.

Early Monday, there was a report of kids shoving a large garbage container into the middle of the road at Second Street West and First Avenue West.

There was a report of a very intoxicated woman who was trying to leave a bar on the 300 block of First Avenue East. She was apparently blocking the parking lot and refusing to give up her keys. Officers ended up arresting the woman, 25, for disorderly conduct and obstruction, after she allegedly tried to kick the windows out of a patrol car.

The owner of a commercial building complex at Main and Idaho called to report of an ongoing problem of kids hanging out in the parking lot and causing problems at night.
