Marijuana theft unreported for week

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call Wednesday from a Jade Lane resident who finally got around to reporting a July 15 theft of medical marijuana.

A person calling from a residence on U.S. 93 South said someone had threatened to kill him by text message.

An Arbor Drive resident wanted to speak with an animal warden about four bats that are living under a house awning.

A Tally Lake Road resident reported that someone put up a sign with profanity on the property.

A Grand Vista Drive resident reported that her neighbors left trailers and trucks on her property and she wants them off.

There was a report of about eight kids jumping in front of a train and then off the tracks near Montclair Drive in Evergreen.

Someone reported that a person had been assaulted at a bar west of Columbia Falls, and a description of the assailant’s vehicle was provided. A responding deputy located and stopped the vehicle nearby, and a man, 39, was arrested for drunk driving.

An Elm Avenue resident reported that a neighbor was throwing fireworks at her dog. All parties involved were counseled.

There was a criminal mischief report from Round Mountain Loop in the Marion area involving a pickup truck being sprayed with graffiti.

A woman called to report that her 26-year-old son had been involved in a motor vehicle accident on U.S. 2 in front of a Coram bar, and a man came out of the bar and assaulted her son.

Early Thursday, just after midnight, there was a report of kids breaking things along Whitefish Stage Road.

Kalispell Police got a report Wednesday afternoon about a man yelling profanities at kids in the Peterson School playground because they were sitting under a tree that had a bird’s nest. The man, who claimed to represent Fish and Game, was counseled by an officer.

A woman reported that a lock was missing from her storage unit on Airport Road, along with some items that were in storage.

Someone called from a hotel on U.S. 93 South to report that kids were running around the hotel, bothering guests.

There was a report of an unwanted man panhandling in a parking lot on First Avenue East.

Early Thursday, just after midnight, a frightened resident on the 200 block of 10th Avenue West called to report that someone was knocking on a back window. No suspicious persons were on the scene when an officer arrived.

At about 8:45 a.m., officers responding to a report of unwanted transients living in a van and urinating in the area of the 800 block of West Idaho Street ended up arresting a man, 34, for indecent exposure and obstructing an officer.

There was a stolen vehicle report from the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue East.

Someone reported from the 30 block of West Idaho that gas had been siphoned from two delivery trucks.

ALARMS

There was a report of vehicle striking a girl on a bicycle on North Main Street and East Montana Street Thursday afternoon. The girl said she was not injured and did not require medical transport.
