Rowboat stolen from river mooring

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Thursday about a rowboat that was stolen, along with paddles and lifejackets, in the Helena Flats area. The boat had been moored in the Flathead River off a property on Addison Square Road.

There was a report of a burglary at a residence on Riley Lane in the Columbia Falls area, with jewelry and cash being taken.

A Parliament Drive resident in the Evergreen area reported that she had received a text message from another woman threatening to “break in and burn everything.”

Someone reported that there was a junked-out vehicle with a pot plant in back on Frontage Road in the Columbia Falls area. A responding deputy found the vehicle but not the dope.

There was a report of an elderly woman in pajamas who appeared to be confused in the Trumble Creek Road area west of Columbia Falls. She turned out to be fine and out on a walk.

A teenage girl was cited for shoplifting makeup from a business on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.

There was a report of a wallet being stolen from a vehicle on Zimmerman Road.

A chain saw was reported stolen from a storage area on Birch Grove Road.

There was a burglary at a business on U.S. 93 South, with chain saws and a variety of tools taken.

Someone reported the theft of a wallet out of a vehicle on Harmony Road.

A bank on West Reserve reported that a man had been trying to cash bogus checks. A deputy located the man and cited him for driving with a suspended license. The bad check issue is under investigation.

Money was reported stolen from a vehicle on Jensen Road.

Someone reported a debit card being stolen from a purse at a business on U.S. 2 East. The theft may have been captured on video and it is under investigation.

Responding to an early Friday report of an extremely intoxicated woman who stopped at a store on First Avenue East and left in a U-Haul truck, Kalispell Police caught up to the woman, 35, and arrested her for drunk driving.

On Thursday morning, a disorderly 12-year-old boy was arrested on First Avenue East North for a probation violation.

Four teenage boys were arrested for shoplifting candy bars from a store on First Avenue East North.

A man reported that someone broke into his vehicle in the 300 block of West Center Street. The vehicle was damaged but it was unclear if anything was taken.

There was a report of a drunken, yelling former employee at a restaurant in the 2300 block of U.S. 93 North. He was asked to leave and not return.

Early Friday, just after midnight, there was a report of a woman refusing to leave a casino on the 1000 block of U.S. 2 West. She left before officers arrived.

A man reported that a drunk man jumped out of a truck in the 200 block of Second Avenue West and punched him in the face. He did not want to pursue assault charges but wanted to report the drunk driver.

Three teenage girls and one teenage boy who appeared to be intoxicated at an East Idaho restaurant were arrested for being in possession of alcohol.

Someone reported there was a suspicious person in the neighbor’s yard on the 1600 block of Sixth Avenue West who had a bicycle and hid in the brush when a car went by. Officers ended up arresting a man, 18, for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A resident on the 1100 block of Fourth Avenue West reported that a fence was damaged sometime overnight.

There was a report of a purse being stolen from a shopping cart at a store in the 2300 block of U.S. 93 North.

A woman reported that kids had been throwing eggs at her home in the 1900 block of Greatview Drive.
