Tom Personett, 44

Tom Personett, 44, left this world July 21, 2010, while enjoying a vacation in New York City with his family. Tom s life began in Whitefish on May 2, 1966, the firstborn son of Jim and Betty Personett. His childhood years were spent in Columbia Falls with his friends fishing and hunting. He attended Columbia Falls schools, graduating from Columbia Falls High School in 1984, and then went to work at LaSalle Nursery before enlisting in the Air Force. In 1988, he and Debbie DeRosa were married in Whitefish. He worked for American Timber and Kmart prior to moving to Havre. He attended MSU Northern, graduating there with a degree in diesel engineering. He worked in Anchorage, Alaska for CAT, and Torgerson Implements in Ethridge. Tom was presently employed by Cummins Rocky Mountain in Billings as regional Sales manager. Tom spent quality time with his wife and children enjoying all the talents, laughter and smiles that they gave to him. His one passion in life was hunting and fishing with family and friends. Tom is survived by his wife, Debbie; his two children, Tiffany and Bobby; his mother and step-father, Betty and Bruce Reynolds of Columbia Falls; brothers, Brian Personett and wife, Kristy of Kalispell, Scott Reynolds and wife, Tracey, and Shawn Reynolds and wife, Norma, all of Columbia Falls. Preceding him in death was his father, Jim Personett. Visitations will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, at the Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. West, in Billings. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1810 Shiloh Road, in Billings. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for his children.
