Glen D. Olberding, 48, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010, at his residence in Kalispell. He was born on June 16, 1962, in Yakima, Wash., the son of LaVern and Charlotte Ann (Nelson) Olberding. Glen moved to Kalispell in 1990 where he met his wife Tammy, and they were married on June 26, 1993. He worked as an insurance agent at AAA for many years and had been working at Mountain West Bank for the last few years. Glen had many interests. Many of them included being with his family, whether it be fishing, four-wheeling, or just playing a card game. In short, he loved being outside. Glen s love for others was extraordinary; he always put others first. Not only was Glen a great father, he was a caring friend as well. He always made sure his children were well off. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern Wayne Olberding; and his mother-in-law, Betty Dunn. He is survived by his wife, Tammy, and daughters, Jenna and Jacey, of Kalispell; stepson, Josh Loveless and granddaughter Unity, stepson Jake Loveless and his wife Andi and granddaughter, Oakley, and stepson Jeff Loveless and his wife Tiffany and granddaughters, Yazmin, Zoey, Anastazia and Willow, all of Kalispell; his mother, Charlotte Ann Olberding, of Port Ludlow, Wash.; his sister, Laura Rasmussen, and husband, Kurt, of Seattle; his brother, Mike Olberding, and wife, Roma, and children, of Maine; his father-in-law, Jim Cherry, of Kalispell; sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Cindy Burton and husband Richard, of Columbia Falls; uncle, Dean Nelson, and cousin Danny, of Spokane; and uncle, Suede Nelson, of Libby. A celebration of Glen s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, at the Main Pavilion at Woodland Park. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to Mountain West Bank in Kalispell where trust funds have been set up for Glen s daughters.
