Neighbor threatens woman's cats

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office heard from a Shady Lane resident Sunday afternoon who was reporting that an elderly woman next door was threatening to make her cats disappear.

Deputies picked up an intoxicated man who was threatening suicide at a Sunset Drive residence and took him to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental-health evaluation.

A wallet and checkbook were reported stolen from a vehicle on Electric Avenue in Bigfork.

There was a report of a grizzly bear in the 200 block of Tamarack Creek Road in Whitefish.

A bicycle was reported stolen at a Jellison Road residence.

A dirt bike was found in the Many Lakes subdivision.

There was a report of someone breaking into a vehicle on Sirucek Lane in the Kalispell area, but it was unclear if items were taken.

A black bear was sighted on Stagecoach Drive in the Whitefish area.

Responding to a disturbance at a residence on the 2000 block of U.S. 2 East in Evergreen, deputies arrested a woman, 37, for partner-family member assault.

Early Monday, a vehicle struck and killed a moose on Dillon Road. The moose was taken to a food bank.

There was a report of an attempted burglary at a residence on Antler Ridge in the Whitefish area, with pry marks on two doors and a broken handle on a glass door.

A dirt bike was reported stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of Montana 35 near Bigfork.

A man called to report that his wife had stopped by to drop off kids at an Eide Lane residence and she was refusing to leave.

A man who is in jail requested a welfare check on his horses at a Castleview Road property, unsure if they were being cared for. An animal warden determined they are being cared for.

There were 162 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

A person reported to Kalispell Police that people in a vehicle pulled up to the intersection of Fourth Street and Main Street and brandished a weapon Sunday night. Officers located the vehicle and found that the gun was not real.

There was a report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance at a parking lot on Railroad Street. He was told to move on.

A woman reported that an umbrella was stolen from her patio on the 2000 block of Merganser Drive.

There was a report of a nurse and security guard being assaulted at the Kalispell hospital emergency room by a woman who left carrying a backpack and sleeping bag. She could not be located.

At 1:26 a.m. Monday, a woman called to report that a man was attempting to break into her vehicles, and her husband was chasing him down an alley near the 500 block of Fifth Avenue West North. The husband returned and said that the thief got away.

There was a report of items being taken from the back of a pickup truck while it was parked at a grocery store on Third Avenue East North.

A person called from a hotel on U.S. 93 South reporting that a man had threatened him in the pool area.

A person reported from the same hotel that someone had stolen prescription drugs from a room.

A woman ran out of a grocery store on West Idaho with two cases of beer and deli items. However, someone got the license plate number of the vehicle she fled in.

Monday afternoon, there was a report of a gray pickup truck hitting a person on a bicycle on the 100 block of Second Street West and fleeing the scene. There were apparently no serious injuries.
