Boschee inducted into Hall of Fame

Glacier High girls track coach Jerry Boschee was inducted into the North Dakota High School Track and Field Hall of Fame at the 2010 state meet at the Bismarck Community Bowl on May 28 and 29.

Boschee, a Killdeer, N.D. native, won eight individual state championships, including two relay titles, and placed in 13 events overall at state throughout his high school career at Killdeer High in the 80s.

In 1986, Boschee was named the Gatorade Male Track Athlete of the Year for the state. The year before he led Killdeer to a team title at state and was honorable mention All-American. His 400 state record was just broken last season.

Boschee coached at Flathead High for 13 seasons before moving to Glacier three years ago. Under Boschee, the Glacier girls placed second at divisionals two seasons in a row before winning it last month. At state, the Wolfpack placed third, earning the track program’s first top-three trophy.
